Managed BIM Server and BIMcloud Hosting for ArchiCAD

Host your BIM projects in the Cloud— No VPN or IT support required

We host and manage BIM Servers for architectural firms all around the world. Without your firm having to procure and setup hardware, installing business class high-speed Internet with static IPs, configuring firewalls and VPNs or hiring expensive IT support, your firm can have its own BIM Server running in the Cloud in as little as an hour.

  • From one BIM Server to dozens of BIM Servers, your BIM Servers are up and running in as little as an hour
  • We manage the server, including Windows Server and BIM Server updates, running regular backups and monitoring of server performance and hard drive space
  • The BIM Server’s web interface allows you to manage your projects, libraries and users on your hosted BIM Server
  • Monthly billing with no long-term commitments

What performance are you expecting? No more guessing.

With detailed live server and network metric analytics, we have the insights to know exactly what resources your solution requires in order to provide your firm with the best performance. Performance anomalies are also no-match for the artificial intelligence backed monitoring tools.

We use these tools to monitor all server and networks metrics to provide optimal performance over the entire vbim platform, but we also invite you to watch the same metrics of your hosted resources using the same tools we use if you desire.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What does “Managed Services” mean?

No IT personnel needed. “Managed” means vbim is responsible for provisioning, setting-up, monitoring, upgrading and backing-up a Windows server and the requested services in the Cloud for you:

  1. Windows Server
  2. Windows Server license
  3. Windows Server updates
  4. Storage
  5. Static IP address
  6. Firewall
  7. IP address whitelisting
  8. Backups
  9. Generating/installing/renewing SSL Certificates (optional)
  10. DNS setup (using the vbim.co domain)

For BIM Servers and BIMcloud Servers:

  1. Installing BIM Server/BIMcloud
  2. BIM Server/BIMcloud updates
  3. Migrating users, projects and libraries from your on-premise BIM Server if needed
  4. The subscriber, you, are responsible for:
  5. Providing a valid BIM Server/BIMcloud Basic license from Graphisoft*
  6. Managing project/user access and permissions to the BIM Server through the BIM Server web interface
  7. Setting up custom DNS for your own domain (optional)

*  Comes free with your ArchiCAD license. This does not include a professional BIMcloud license.
** The subscriber manages user access and project/library permissions via the BIM Server/BIMcloud web interface. vbim cannot determine who gets access to projects hosted on a BIM Server and any requests to vbim from users (aside from the registered primary contact) at your firm or outside your firm to provide access to projects and/or libraries will be denied.
